Fujifilm Announces Instax Mini 12 Camera With New Design and Functionality

The Instax Mini 12 has been introduced by Fujifilm as a new Instax camera. The Instax Mini 12 has updated features and a new design in addition to the main features of its predecessor, the Instax Mini 11 from 2020.

The appearance of the camera has changed the most obviously. The Instax Mini 12 has what Fujifilm describes as “an airy, cloud-like, and almost ‘inflated’ design.” It has rounded corners and bulbous elements. It’s like Instax meets the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. The Instax Mini 12 is offered in a range of delicate, pastel hues, including blossom pink, mint green, clay white, lilac purple, and pastel blue.

The Instax Mini 12 offers more than a cosmetic update. Parallax correction, automatic flash control, and a multipurpose twist lens are just a few of the exciting new features that the camera offers. The parallax correction aligns the camera’s viewfinder with the lens when using the included close-up mode, which minimizes object shifts and results in a centered photo. The automatic flash control promises to optimize image quality in bright or low light situations. By simply twisting the lens, users can turn the camera on or off and enter the close-up mode.

“The Instax Mini 12 instant camera features a unique new design and a variety of appealing new color options,” said President of Fujifilm North America Corporation’s Imaging Division, Bing Liem. “It has a lot of the popular features from the Mini 11 model that our customers loved, as well as some brand-new innovations that will improve the photography experience for our customers. We are constantly amazed by the extraordinary creativity of our customers, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with using the Mini 12!”

Alongside the new Mini 12, the Fujifilm Instax team has also announced a free downloadable smartphone app, Instax Up! Users of any Instax film camera or printer can digitally scan, import, organize, and store all of their photos using the app. Of course, the analog print aspect of Instax cameras is a large part of its appeal, but users may still want to preserve digital versions of their Instax photos. Instax Up! is located. comes in.

“solutions such as our Instax Up! App keep our consumers connected, engaged, and informed,” said Vice President of Consumer Marketing for Fujifilm North America Corporation, Ashley Reeder Morgan. “With the help of Instax Up!, users will be able to easily organize, archive, and share their Instax photos, preserving their precious memories and encouraging them to take more.”

Mid-March will see the release of the Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 for $79.95 ($99.99 CAD) suggested retail price.
