iPhone 15 Pro Cameras Just Tipped for Major Design Change — Here’s Why

According to Twitter leaker Unknownz21, one of the biggest new features for the iPhone this year may require a redesign of the cameras in the iPhone 15 Pro.

They claim that Apple is changing the location of the ultrawide camera on the back of the iPhone 15, which hasn’t changed since the debut of the triple-camera iPhone 11 Pro in 2019.

This change to the iPhone 15 is being made, according to render artist Ian Zelbo, who appears to also be aware of the situation, in order to accommodate the larger periscope telephoto camera lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max model.

The ultrawide camera is currently situated to the side between the LiDAR sensor and the flash on the iPhone 14 Pro, with the telephoto camera stacked directly above the primary camera. This appears to be the case for both the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, even though the rumors claim that the telephoto camera on the Pro model won’t be getting replaced. On the iPhone 15 Pro, the ultrawide and telephoto cameras will reportedly change positions.

Apple last changed the location of its cameras with the iPhone 13 series, adopting the current diagonal rear camera placement for the base models and switching the placement of the primary and telephoto cameras.
